Adopt-A-Teacher

The Lawson-Perry Foundation is dedicated to #DoGood within our Community! We are proud to announce the Adopt-A-Teacher initiative. Teachers are such an integral and important part of kids’ lives. They sacrifice and persevere, even during the hardest of challenges. The devastation and lingering effects of COVID-19 couldn’t stop the tenacity of Teachers’ abilities to still do their jobs. This is our way of saying THANK YOU!

For a Teacher to be nominated, she/he has to be a Teacher within Sumter County. Your nominations will help us decide who to adopt! Let us know why you’re nominating this awesome Teacher and the name of school where the Teacher works his/her magic.

We will make our selection on August 4! Help us to Do Good!

Yolanda Randolph, Inaugural Recipient of Adopt-A-Teacher Initiative

Congratulations to Yolanda Randolph, our 2021-2022 Adopt-A-Teacher recipient! When being nominated, this is what was said about Ms. Randolph:

“I’m nomating Ms. Randolph because she goes above and beyond for students. She works one-on-one with her students that struggle. She works after school to assist students that need help. She even helps students that are no longer in her class.”

If that doesn’t embody the nature of an awesome teacher, we don’t know what does!

During the 2021-2022 school year, the Lawson-Perry Foundation will provide assistance to Ms. Randolph to ensure that she has everything that she needs to stay the amazing teacher that she is! She’s a Kinterbish Tiger and thoroughly loves her students!
